What are PRO Acryl 1-Step Paints?
PRO Acryl 1-Step is formulated to give you vibrant color in one single layer over a bright base coat. These colors also give you an initial contrast between the darker spots on the model and the brighter highlight areas without having to even think about it! Simply apply PRO Acryl 1-Step colors over a model primed either in a bright color like white or over a zenithal primed surface that uses a bright color over a darker color (white over black for example). 1-Step colors will give you more depth to the model than a simple, single layer of normal paint, but with the same easy application. No special tools or techniques necessary. PRO Acryl 1-Step colors can also be thinned or mixed with other PRO Acryl colors to give you limitless possibilities when doing more complex techniques or to extend your ability to find just the right combination of colors. Thin 1-Step simply with water to achieve any level of glaze or filtering to make them even more useful at every stage of painting. A tool that grows as your capabilities do and is always ready to add more awesomeness to every project!
Will there be a PRO Acryl 1-Step Medium?
Yes! 1-Step Special Sauce is the perfect way to dilute your other 1-Step colors or to turn any of your standard PRO Acryl colors into 1-Step paints! Simply mix it in as needed to thin 1-Step colors to the desired opacity for various techniques like glazing and filtering or mix around 2:1 (medium to paint) for adding the power of 1-Step to other colors in your collection.

We’ve formulated 1-Step colors to go on smoothly and provide instant depth of color as expected, while also giving a more consistent finish, smoother blends, the ability to mix easily, and even work with the rest of the PRO Acryl line! This gives you unlimited flexibility in how you use them, making sure that there is never a time where 1-Step isn’t a good choice for a technique you want to try.

When will PRO Acryl 1-Step be available?
The first set of 12 colors will be available to purchase at AdeptiCon 2026, but will be released worldwide mid to late May 2026. For all of our EU customers who can't attend the show, we will have sets available for the duration of AdeptiCon on our EU website while supplies last!
